Against the backdrop of population aging, the aging process in Beijing not only shares common characteristics with the whole country but also presents increasing elderly care pressure due to high population density and a deeper degree of aging. While “integration of sports and medicine” has emerged as a core pathway for healthy aging, significant imbalances persist between service supply and demand. Using Beijing as a case study, this paper employs a mixed research methodology combining literature review, policy classification analysis, questionnaire surveys, and in-depth interviews to analyze the supply-demand matching mechanism for integrated sport-medicine services. The results show that: 1) Integrated sports-medicine services in Beijing are characterized by the participation of multiple entities, a focus on chronic disease intervention, and an initial formation of service models; 2) The demand of the elderly for integrated sports-medicine services exhibits a clear preference for practicality and equal emphasis on prevention and rehabilitation, with heterogeneity across age groups, health statuses, and residential areas; 3) The root causes of the supply-demand imbalance lie in information asymmetry between supply and demand sides, lack of flexibility in service supply, inadequate mechanisms for coordinated resource integration, and the absence of incentive mechanisms. Based on these findings, this study proposes optimization pathways for the supply-demand matching mechanism of integrated sports-medicine services in Beijing.
